Cam Cunningham
For Ward 2 City Councilor
Cam Cunningham’s vision for Pittsfield begins with community trust as the foundation of every decision, ensuring compassion, safety, and connection are built into all our policies. At the center of that community — and the engine of our success — is a strong economy: repairing roads, job opportunities and growth, and empowering small businesses to grow. From this strength, we will cultivate a thriving city culture that celebrates our diversity, energizes the social scene, and builds a sense of safety and comfort in our city. Together, these pillars will create a Pittsfield that works for everyone.

Community
Strong communities are built on trust in each other and our leadership. Maintaining that trust requires transparency, open communication, and accessibility. I’m committed to being a councilor who is present and easily reachable to ensure every voice in Ward 2 is heard. As a resident of North Street and someone who travels daily through the whole ward for work, I have a deep understanding of our community’s needs and opportunities. I believe leadership should be inclusive, straightforward, and of the highest integrity — focused on serving all residents fairly, without the influenced or directed how to vote.
Economy
Our economy is the engine that powers every part of our community’s success. By fostering business growth, growing our consumer base, and creating a safe and engaging social and shopping scene for all ages, we build a downtown that supports residents and attracts visitors. Empowering all local industries to hire Pittsfield residents through supporting education and removing barriers to employment ensures that economic progress benefits everyone. When our economy thrives, it unlocks opportunities across the city — from jobs and services to culture and community.
Culture
Culture is the heartbeat of Pittsfield. It shapes our identity and brings people together. I’m committed to cultivating a vibrant cultural scene that celebrates our city’s diversity and fosters a true sense of belonging and engagement for all residents. By empowering cultural leaders and businesses, and championing partnerships between commerce and community groups, we can build a calendar full of events that energize downtown and draw people of all ages. Beyond events, I want to create a steady culture of engagement downtown — with people walking the streets, dining out, and visiting local businesses regularly. Together, we can create a culture that drives economic growth and strengthens social connection.
